UK Food Crime

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has today published the first assessment of food crime in the UK.  The assessment examines the scale and nature of the food crime that threatens the UK’s £200 billion food and drink industry and the results will be used to inform the National Food Crime Units priorities for the next year.  To read the full report click here

Craft Guild of Chefs

The Craft Guild of Chefs has announced that entries are now open for graduates of 2016.  Only 48 chefs have ever passed the Craft Guild of Chefs’ Graduate Awards.  It’s an exciting time to see which young and talented chefs will be next to join the Graduates hall of fame. Michelin Star Chef Goes Gluten Free

Gluten Free at Michelin star quality.   A Michelin-starred French chef has taken on one very daunting culinary challenge and officially made her restaurant gluten-free, making it the first restaurant in France to have both a Michelin star and a gluten-free menu.  Chef Reine Sammut, who has had her Michelin star since 1995, was inspired to make the change by her daughter, Nadia, who is a chemist and suffers from coeliac disease.  Read more by clicking here
